12. How long have you been at St. Ann's Warehouse?
St.
Ann's left the National Landmark Church of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity
on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights in August 2000.
A former spice milling factory was donated by Two Trees Management through the
generosity of David, Jane and Jed Walentas, and St. Ann's Warehouse opened its
doors in DUMBO in October 2001 at 38 Water Street. St. Ann's Warehouse has
since proven to be the lynchpin in establishing DUMBO as a vital cultural
destination. This summer, St. Ann’s is moving to our next DUMBO home at
29 Jay Street,
with performances beginning in fall 2012. Click

13. Are you related to Saint Ann’s School or St. Ann’s Church?
St. Ann’s Church was our former home on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights from 1980-2000 (see above). We have never been related to Saint Ann’s School in an official way, although the school
uses the Church as its auditorium, and in the past, we have programmed together. St. Ann’s renowned stained glass studio was re-established independently as the Brooklyn Stained Glass Conservation Center at 55 Washington
Street here in DUMBO, under the direction of conservator David Fraser. Please call 718.643.9772 for more information on their work.
